Sharing Jesus With Others

One of the most awesome tasks Jesus gave to us is to share the Good News with others. Mark 16:15 says, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” What it doesn’t say is, “if that is your gifting.” Unfortunately, there are those that will tell you this way or that way is the only way to share Jesus. What they don’t tell you is that Isaiah 55:11 says that God will use anything we put out there in His name for His purposes. There is no wrong way to share Jesus.

Sharing Jesus Christ With Others

1.) Share online via Facebook, Youtube and Twitter.

2.) Go door to door. A good opener is inviting people to a free community dinner with a small, printed invitation.

3.) On the street corner with a sign about Jesus plants many seeds.

4.) Telling “your story” to someone how you got saved is one of the better ways as no one can disagree with you.

5.) Take a homeless person to eat and share Jesus with them or give them “Homeless Packs” with some basic necessities and the Gospel message in it.

6.) Invite someone to Church.

7.) Give someone a Bible tract or put tract racks in businesses in town. Even better, give a believer a stack of tracts to pass out.

8.) Ask to pray for someone (your waitress or someone at the store).

9.) Use any one of the great methods from William Fay, Ray Comfort, Mark Cahill, or Evangelism Explosion.

10.) Wear clothes with a message of salvation on them.

11.) When a telemarketer (sales call) calls, share Jesus with them.

12.) Try a few ways to find which one you like best and works for you.

13.) Donate to the Jesus Film Project (every 83 cents donated saves a soul somewhere in the world for all eternity) or other mission agency.

As of this writing, according to Pew, 69% of the world is without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. According to the Joshua Project, there are 7,100 Unreached People Groups in the world. People group being defined as a group of people with a common affinity with one another and acceptance and understandability. Unreached meaning there is no indigenous community of believing Christians. With so many Unreached people groups worldwide, The Jesus Film Project is one of the most amazing, easiest, cost-effective, ways to save a soul.

Every second two people die, that’s about 150,000 per day. Over 100,000 of them die without Jesus. Every single one of them matters to God, so they should matter to us. God puts everybody in our paths for a reason. Your “Divine Appointment” is whoever is standing directly in front of you. Every soul ends up in Heaven or hell. What are you going to do to make sure everyone you meet will be in Heaven with you someday? Will Jesus be able to say, “well done my good and faithful servant” and introduce you to those who are there because of your actions?

John 4:37-38 tells us that some will sow and not necessarily reap, and some will reap that haven’t sown. Just because you are not reaping does not mean you are doing it wrong. The only way to do it wrong, is not to do it. Mark Cahill tells us the three responses to sharing Jesus with someone are: Accept (which is good), Plant a Seed (which is good), or Reject (then 1 Peter 1:14 tells us if we are insulted or rejected because we bear the name of Jesus, we will be blessed, so also good). You cannot lose by sharing Jesus.

Of all the various methods of sharing Jesus with others, passing out tracts is the easiest way to get started. You can start out by leaving them around discreetly in public restrooms, laundromats, in motel rooms, with a generous tip at a restaurant, in “help packets” for the homeless, in waiting rooms, the opportunities are endless. Once you build up the courage, you can start handing them out in person to anyone everywhere. Yes, there will be those that reject you, but remember what 1 Peter 1:14 tells us about being rejected.

Some of the benefits of using tracts are listed below

1.) Tracts can get inside someone’s home and stay there.

2.) Tracts never lose their temper or get in arguments.

3.) Tracts never show cowardice.

4.) Tracts can stick to the point without getting distracted or compromising.

5.) Tracts never get discouraged.

6.) Tracts are willing to be sent anywhere.

7.) Tracts can be used without fear.

8.) Tracts can work 24 hours a day.

9.) Tracts are not expensive.

10.) Tracts can be read many times over.

11.) Tracts are a great way to fulfill the Great Commission.

12.) Tracts are proven to work.

13.) Tracts can communicate in different languages.

14.) Tracts never get tired.

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” - Charles Spurgeon (The Prince of Preachers).

Pray for God to show you opportunities to share. It is our duty to share Jesus with the lost. The results are God’s. If you have any questions about anything in any of our Seven Core Principles or anything else you have read or seen on God411.org, please contact us. We love talking about Jesus Christ.
